IN-CHARACTER:
Character name: Janet Van Dyne
Character journal:
fiercefashionista
Series name: Marvel Avengers Academy (TinyCo mobile game)
Canon notes: The timing of the events in this game and the fact that some would repeat from time to time makes it hard to pick a "canon point" because there's no real storyline, per se? It was a mission-based game that loosely reacted to releases and goings-on in the MCU, and most of the 'storyline' quests were really just ways to introduce new features and characters as they were released instead of creating an overarching plot. When the game was shut down, I had Janet up to her max level, but had not finished all the various missions that were possible to do. There was an endgame quest called "Graduation Day" in which Hank Pym (a teacher) and Nick Fury (one of the school admins) decided it was time to get the students ready to graduate and leave, hence, ending the game.
Species: Midgardian (Human)
Age: late teens, early 20s... like senior high school to mid-college (American standards)
Arrival Condition: She's fine. Surprised, confused, and probably frustrated, but fine.
History: https://avengers-academy.fandom.com/wiki/Wasp
There's not much history, but, as stated, there's no real storyline to this game to promote character development. That said, each character definitely had a personality and certain relationships, which you can find info about Janet's in the wiki.
Personality: Janet is the bubbly social butterfly (or wasp...) of the team. She's active on social media, loves to party, and is one of the first to try making friends with everyone as they arrive. She crushes on a lot of the different characters as they come in, both guys and girls. She's big into fashion, even opening up her own design studio and store on campus at some point (which is how you get different outfits in the game for everyone, and those outfits can provide certain bonuses and special actions for missions). She also tries her hand at working for J Jonah Jamison several times as a reporter (a repeating mission and regular action when in her "Reporter Wasp" outfit), as she loves getting gossip, and Jamison loves publishing sensational stories. It was a match made in snooping, and it gave her press access to some of her fav celebs, like Mary Jane Watson, her second favorite super model!
Janet, usually called "Wasp" in the game, also is fierce, and that's not just saying she is. She's not afraid to fight, and she's got a bit of a temper if things don't go her way. She gets excited about blowing things up and beating up bad guys, even joining up with The Master's Fight Club. She truly believes in the Avengers and being a diehard member of the team, along with making sure the whole team looks their best while doing it. She does her moves with flair, but precision, flying loop-de-loops and blasting energy balls from her hands. She's studious about her fighting, making sure to get in that practice, but her book studying could use some work. She falls asleep on her books in the library kind of often.
Wasp isn't lazy, but she likes to take her time to relax now and then. She loves a good beach day, and is totally okay with self-care. After all, how can you be your best as a super hero if you don't also take care of yourself?! She'll spend quite some time calling friends and talking them into parties and relaxation between threats and missions to make sure everyone has a little hero-social balance to keep themselves from falling apart. She's also protective of those she cares about, and you'd better not cross her friends!
Abilities: Wasp has the ability to shrink down to a tiny bug sized human. Usually, this is shown with her being about the size of a medium bird (think the American Robin). While in this size, she glows a bit, and has a quad of translucent insect-like wings that help her fly around. She can also fire energy blasts from her hands while small, and uses this as her primary form of attack.
Statistically speaking for game effects, her abilities are listed on the wiki.
Personal Item: Her chihuahua, Honeybee... Honeybee has no special powers. She's just a chihuahua. Even if she's the cutest and best dressed chihuahua out there.
